Vanguard Employees Come Through Again!

Each year, Vanguard employees participate in a program “All Cans on Deck” where employees contribute food and personal care items to several local food banks. Competition among departments creates a lot of fun for the employees and reaps many benefits for food pantries such as ours. We are extremely grateful to be a recipient of Vanguard’s generosity.

Monday, July 16th was the day we had the opportunity to pick up our bounty of donations. When all was said and done, through the generosity of two truck donations from Budget Maintenance and The Third Street Gallery, 30,000 pounds of food and three additional pallets of personal care items were delivered to the Cluster Outreach Center.

Our thanks to John Jones of Budget Maintenance and Curtis Wilson of The Third Street Gallery for supplying the trucks. Curtis helped unload and organize pallets as they came in the building.

We are also grateful to JB Supply for donating the services of one of their drivers who spent the day retrieving and delivery the items. And of course, we are extremely grateful to all the employees of Vanguard for their generous and most needed donations.
