For 50 years PCRC has provided for the basic needs of members in the Pottstown area who experience food and economic insecurity.
In 2014, PCRC launched an educational initiative to equip our Pantry participants with knowledge in maintaining healthy nutrition and how to improve their economic condition to achieve greater personal stability. We have been blessed to have cooperative partners that have allowed us to use their facilities to deliver our educational programs and we especially thank the Pottstown Salvation Army and Zion’s United Church of Christ for their gracious hospitality. 61 N. Franklin is being renovated to serve as PCRC’s permanent educational and administration building.
The three rooms on the main floor of the building will allow us to expand our current education, training and mentoring programs, designed to provide our participants with connections to greater stability and community resources. The second floor will house our Housing Resource Center staff, case managers and education facilitators.
