Vulnerable older adults should not face eviction just because they get sick or their heating bill spikes. Unfortunately, it happens—all the time. With your support, The Pottstown Cluster can say “yes” when people have nowhere else to turn and need a helping hand up.

He was doing everything right. Still working in his later years to support himself and his disabled wife while also paying his rent on time. But when their landlord switched the apartment to electric heat, their utility bill tripled. Then he got sick, missed work, and couldn’t catch up. Even though he kept paying the rent, the unpaid electric bill was enough for the landlord to begin the eviction process.

With nowhere else to go, they came to Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities. And thanks to donors like you, we could step in. We pulled our resources together. We got their utilities back on track, avoided eviction, and gave them breathing room to stay safely housed and stable. Your support made this possible
